Jarvia trained in postgraduate Obstetric Osteopathy in 2009 at the British School of Osteopathy, following her BSO obstetric undergraduate training at the Osteopathic Children's Centre (OCC) in London. Her research, which looked at Pregnancy-Related-Pelvic-Girdle-Pain (PRPGP) with the standard NHS approach, was supervised by renowned Obstetric Osteopath Dr Steve Sandler - she was awarded a first-class distinction for her work.

As a Radiographer Jarvia has over 30 years in diagnostic imaging working with babies, children and women with pregnancy-related issues - this includes diagnostic imaging, emergency and trauma, surgery, NICU, SCBU and ITU, including 8 years of service at The Portland - Women and Children's Hospital; she continues to work part-time as a Radiographer in private and public NHS hospitals.
